You’ll be joining a dynamic warehouse environment, reporting directly to the Receiving Manager, and playing a vital role in directing daily workflows and ensuring every shipment is handled with precision. Your Impact on Our Operations As a Receiving Lead, you will be the driving force behind our receiving and handling standards: Receiving & Material Handling: Safely unload LTL, scheduled shipments, and hot transfers while ensuring all materials are accurately picked, staged, and transported. Team Coordination: Direct daily assignments for Receiving Associates, adjusting workflows based on staffing levels or shipment volume. Priority Management: Monitor and process "Hot Transfer" notifications, quickly locating and moving high-priority items to minimize delays. Equipment Oversight: Oversee forklift inspections and maintenance, ensuring all equipment is used safely and complies with SOPs. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Shipping, Inventory, and the Logistics Coordinator to prevent bottlenecks and ensure smooth transitions. Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to company procedures and safety regulations during all material handling activities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse leadership or lead role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of forklift operations, inspections, and maintenance SOPs.
  • Ability to process and prioritize "Hot Transfers" and priority shipments.
  • Strong coordination skills to manage team assignments and workflow adjustments.
  • Proficiency in warehouse communication and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal communication for coaching staff and updating supervisors.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
