This includes performing administrative tasks such as maintaining documents, directing incoming calls, providing reports, and supporting a variety of other functions to ensure that the warehouse is providing Core-Mark customers with exceptional service and quality

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
  • Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and apply general math skills
  • Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry
  • Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as Forklift operation
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
  • Previous experience with IBM I-series / AS/400 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloading truck and/or company vehicles.
  • Places products in areas identified by customers.
  • Completes required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate communication on inbound scheduling with warehouse, vendors & carriers.
  • Validating all inbound product counts and changes to customer orders; communicating these aspects to team members.
  • Inputting data into the system, scheduling appointments, and tracking expenses.
  • Retrieving and reviewing daily reports from the system.
  • Completing documentation and following filing procedures.
  • Maintaining warehouse operations records.
  • Answering and directing incoming calls.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all vendor receiving documents.
  • Collect all documents for inbound freight and route to proper record-keeping department.
  • Operate forklift and hand truck to unload trucks and move product to storage and/or work area.
  • Ensure proper labels/tickets applied and proper packing used on all out bound shipments.
  • Observe security policies and procedures at dock doors/receiving area.
  • MUST scan in every box received into inventory and report issues to management.
  • Participate in all inventory and cycle counting.
  • Responsible for charging all lumper and late fees to inbound truck vendors and selling pallets for profit.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
