About The Position
About Us: We operate a high-volume food production facility that prepares and packages products for our restaurants and markets. Our team is committed to safety, consistency, and quality. Every role in the plant directly supports the guest experience across our locations. Position Overview: The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and organizing all incoming raw materials, packaging, and supplies used in food production. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring quality, and supporting smooth daily operations. Experience with HACCP and food safety programs is required.
Requirements
- 1+ year of warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience (food manufacturing preferred)
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move safely in a refrigerated environment
- Comfortable using computer-based inventory systems
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and with a team
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload deliveries of raw ingredients, packaging, and supplies
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, invoices, and quality standards
- Conduct quality checks following HACCP, food safety, and company guidelines
- Label, store, rotate, and track inventory to ensure freshness and traceability
- Enter receiving data accurately into the inventory system
- Communicate any shortages, damages, or variances to management promptly
- Keep receiving and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant
- Assist with inventory counts and audits
- Work closely with Production and Quality Assurance teams to support daily production needs
