Summary: The Receiving Associate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of product, ensuring accurate inventory control, proper handling of merchandise, and timely processing of incoming shipments. The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to teamwork.

  • Receive incoming shipments of various items, verifying the accuracy of the received item against purchase orders, packing lists, and other relevant documentation.
  • Inspect received merchandise for damages, defects and discrepancies, promptly reporting any issues to supervisor.
  • Sort, label, and organize received items for efficient storage and retrieval within the distribution center.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to update stock levels, track items, and maintain accurate records of incoming shipments.
  • Inspect and verify products for quality and quantity before placing into inventory.
  • Utilize barcode scanning equipment and warehouse management systems to track inventory and fulfill orders.
  • Operate equipment, such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks, load and unload trucks and to move and organize inventory in the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Forklift and/or pallet jack experience or willingness to learn.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with warehouse management systems and barcode scanning equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends during November-January.
  • Must be proficient in the English language and poses strong communication skills.
  • Consistent attendance and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma/GED
  • At least six months of experience in distribution or manufacturing required
