About The Position

Responsible for performing receiving and warehouse functions in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner while providing excellent internal and external customer service. This role ensures incoming shipments are properly received, inspected, documented, and stored, while maintaining organized inventory and complying with company safety standards and operational procedures. This is a full-time position based at our Manchester, CT branch located at 401 New State Road.

Requirements

  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicle, forklift, barcode reader, currently used hardware and software.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Unload product from incoming trucks.
  • Receive shipments, verify products on packing slips are there and sign corresponding paperwork upon receipt.
  • Inspect contents of deliveries to ensure that the product is not damaged.
  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
  • Put product away into correct locations with the use of a barcode reader.
  • Maintain organization of packing slips and assist in inventory control.
  • Manage time in order to complete work load for the day.
  • Move and lift heavy objects from one location to another.
  • Read and decipher packing slips, computer screens and barcode readers.
  • Practice team work in order to best service internal and external customers.
  • Assist warehouse personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
  • Operate fork trucks and/or platform lifts in order to safely and effectively move product within the warehouse.
  • Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, etc.
  • Remain up-to-date on all safety practices and standards.
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed.
