About The Position

We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Warehouse Receiver in Des Plaines. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a storing and handling merchandise position, preferably in the food industry
  • F&B and Food Handling experience
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, pull or push packages as needed
  • Ability to drive a sit-down or stand-up forklift and operate an electric pallet jack
  • Work in a fast- paced environment with excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills
  • Complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines and substantial workload
  • Outstanding and transparent communication skills
  • Capable to work independently and in a team environment
  • Dedication and attention to detail with regards to customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on approach and ability to react with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, receive, and load all local purchasing deliveries and ensure items delivered match as per invoice and delivery order.
  • Collect shipments, handle documentation, and organize shipments in the facility.
  • Distribute products to appropriate storage areas, including dry storage, coolers, freezers, and designated sections for meat, fish, and produce.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations, including FIFO (First In, First Out), date marking, proper labeling, and HACCP protocols.
  • Manage monthly inventories according to schedule and monitor stock levels to detect material reaching low stock and request cabin load of material and inform the concerned parties regarding changes, material shortages, excess and any deviations, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals while maintaining food safety compliance.
