About The Position

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for managing and processing incoming shipments, ensuring the accuracy and quality of received goods, and maintaining efficient inventory management. This role involves inspecting, sorting, and storing products, as well as updating records and coordinating with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in warehouse management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role preferred. Experience with inventory management systems is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to50 lbs).
  • Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and strength.

Responsibilities

  • Receive Shipments: Unload deliveries from trucks, check them against purchase orders, and inspect for accuracy and quality. Report any discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Inventory Management: Record all received items in the inventory management system, update stock levels, and ensure proper documentation for all incoming goods.
  • Product Inspection: Verify the condition of products, check for defects, and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Storage: Organize and store products in designated areas of the warehouse, ensuring optimal space utilization and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of received shipments, including quantities, descriptions, and any issues encountered. Prepare and file reports as needed.
  • Coordination: Communicate with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments to resolve any issues related to shipments or inventory.
  • Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for handling, storing, and transporting goods. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintenance: Keep the receiving area clean and organized, performing regular maintenance and upkeep as needed.
  • Rotation of all incoming products by dates- FIFO
