About The Position

As a member of the Loading/Receiving team at UNFI, you will play a crucial role in the inventory management process at our distribution centers. This position involves working closely with the inventory department, supervisors, and leads to verify the quantities of products received and loaded onto trucks. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are accurately staged for efficient loading and that the work area is clean and safe. The Receiver position focuses on verifying incoming products and maintaining inventory accuracy, while the Loader position is responsible for loading products into truck trailers using electric pallet jacks and performing various tasks related to product handling and safety.

Requirements

• Understanding of safety guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of applicable Bakco functions and RF systems.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse/Operations experience preferred but not required.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify quantities of product received against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Check and report any damage found due to refrigeration, travel, or handling by inbound freight companies.
• Sort or breakdown all incoming products (specific to Eastern Region).
• Build steady and secure pallets for back stock reserves and wrap them as necessary.
• Ensure accurate labeling of products and pallets for proper put-away in pick slots or back stock locations.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Inspect assigned equipment for safety issues and operate all equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.
