About The Position

The Warehouse Receiver at Schilletter Dining Hall, Clemson University, is responsible for managing the receipt and processing of incoming products, preparing orders for transport, and conducting inventory and quality control tasks. This role ensures that the warehouse is organized and maintained according to safety standards and facility protocols.

Requirements

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect products, accurately label items, and report discrepancies in deliveries and invoices.
• Organize and store incoming products using FIFO inventory controls for perishable items.
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, and forklifts as required.
• Pick inventory to assemble orders for requisitions or established par levels.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
• Load, unload, and transport products to various areas of the warehouse and client locations using carts or powered industrial vehicles.
• Conduct routine physical inventory counts based on established schedules.
• Complete administrative duties including inventory count documents and temperature logs.
• Clean assigned work areas, including restrooms and loading docks.
• Implement safety policies, OSHA requirements, and emergency procedures.
