There's a seat at our table for you… Position Summary: Receives goods onto dock from delivery trucks and transfers to the receiving area. Properly identifies items and validates received quantities. Logs and issues materials to the stockroom, warehouse, or other designated location. Position Summary: Receives, logs and issue materials to stockroom, warehouse or designated location.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Ability to operate powered industrial vehicle (PIV).
  • Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

  • Ability to operate powered industrial vehicle (PIV)
  • Must be able to understand the basic functions of a Radio Frequency handheld computer.
  • Pallet jack, hand trucks
  • Shrink wrap/stretch wrap equipment
  • Box cutter
  • Internet, email, and other applications
  • Knowledge of WMS RF system of inventory
  • Ability to operate powered industrial vehicle (PIV)
  • No previous experience needed.
  • Forklift certification must be obtained upon hire and maintained during employment certification or license.

Nice To Haves

  • High School / Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Checks goods received against bills of lading or purchase orders.
  • Checks goods for damage and expiration dates.
  • Identifies and accounts for all histamine products (seafood only).
  • Sorts, counts, and checks received items.
  • Maintains required clerical records and completes housekeeping activities.
  • Operates warehouse equipment as needed to move goods to storage areas and places in designated locations.
  • Identifies damaged packaging and/or possible cross contaminated products.
  • Performs returns.
  • Maintains and rotates cooler and freezer (USDA only).
  • Inventory control (USDA only).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
