About The Position
The Warehouse Puller is responsible for pulling, moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. The puller is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties. This role involves ensuring the completeness and correctness of all orders filled, efficiently picking customer orders for shipment, and verifying the numbers, sizes, colors, quantities, and correct type of product loaded and shipped.
Requirements
- Must be able to effectively communicate with Management and co-workers
- Great attention to detail
- Minimum one (1) year of recent experience operating a Cherry Picker/Forklift
- Experience using RF Scanner
Responsibilities
- Ensure completeness and correctness of all orders filled
- Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise and correct type of product is loaded and shipped
- Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with forklift machine
- Report quality issues on all products
- Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage
- Tag any open and/or damaged boxes on racks for safety
- Use barcode scanning equipment to maintain computerized stock inventory
- Unpack received products, count, weigh and/or sort items
- Mark and/or tag containers with identifying information
- Communicate problems with forklift, structures, or materials
- Pick orders by reading pick tickets, move products to the shipping area and operate RF scanners during order picking
- Inspect and complete the pre-shift inspection for the Cherry Picker
- Operate forklift and reach truck equipment to maneuver products within the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as requested by Shipping Manager
- Assemble orders on pallet for shipment
- Carry or transport orders to staging locations
- Must know how to drive a cherry picker and a forklift
