The Warehouse Production Coordinator is responsible for systematically operating within the WMS system to allocate and manage workflow by job function for the entire distribution warehouse. This includes the allocation of orders, releasing tasks for directed work, managing tasks within the workflow, and resolving discrepancies. The role requires creating a strategic operational plan by gathering information and communicating with senior leadership daily. The coordinator ensures that the daily operational plan is timely and cost-effective to meet productivity demands while maintaining quality standards as defined in the distribution warehouse SOPs. Continuous management and monitoring of the daily workflow queue is essential, along with a clear understanding of interleaving processes used to set priorities within the queue. The position also involves overseeing timely and accurate trailer movements, managing an audit process, and ensuring compliance with the WMS SOP. The coordinator serves as a liaison between IT and the site team on WMS system-related barriers and is responsible for managing timely shipments according to site KPIs.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of labor allocation.
  • Troubleshoot undirected work before releasing it to directed work status.
  • Provide support to the onsite user community regarding the WMS system.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT and the site team on WMS-related barriers.
  • Manage timely shipments and ensure late ship dates are met.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained in accordance with the WMS SOP.
  • Provide a daily turnover report to the next scheduled shift.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement related to WMS processes.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvements.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience within a WMS, preferably Red Prairie.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills.
