About The Position

As a fundraising program of the affiliate, Habitat ReStores work in support of Habitat for Humanity’s mission. Habitat Restore operations are understood to be a part of the affiliates mission by: Providing a source of revenue to support the housing programs of Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns Promoting an environment of recycling by diverting useful, quality merchandise away from the landfills Providing an opportunity for families of modest means to purchase goods and furnishings at significantly reduced prices Basic Functions: This position is responsible for the donation intake area. includes oversight of the process area — cleaning and pricing of merchandise, restocking the sales floor, and overseeing donor customer service.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including weekends, as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to pass a background screening and random drug testing as selected
- Adhere to schedule, show initiative, honest, positive attitude, customer service oriented, must have dependable transportation to work
Responsibilities
- Ensure that every donor receives timely, courteous service
- Assist donors with unloading their donations
- Clean, Price, and Prepare donations to be moved to the sales floor
- Assist in the inventory, storage, and stocking of donated and purchased product
- Assist in the unloading of ReStore trucks when needed
- Assist in answering customer questions and enhancing their shopping experience
- Maintain clean, safe, organized workspaces including processing room, sales floor, and customer restrooms
- Provide appropriate receipts to donors
- Cross trained in ReStore Associate duties including: Operating cash register Opening and closing cash register
- Communicate mission of Habitat
- Assist with Habitat special events as needed
- Comply with all policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by Restore Manager
