About The Position

As a Warehouse Picker at LKQ, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position involves assisting with scheduling and overseeing daily assignments to maintain quality control and maximize productivity among team members. You will lead and assist in the storage and handling of production materials that have been received or need to be shipped, ensuring that all processes are executed smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating and overseeing daily cycle counts of production materials, enforcing and coaching safety practices, and observing workers to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, thereby assuring a safe and hazard-free workplace. In this role, you will be responsible for training others and analyzing or resolving work problems, assisting workers in finding solutions. You will establish or adjust work procedures to meet deadlines and supervise all warehouse activities, including truck loading/unloading, moving bin locations, bin maintenance, and restocking. Additionally, you will perform various warehouse activities such as parts pulling, staging, and loading/stocking of trucks. It is essential to verify the in-stock position on products for sales staff and assist in monitoring inventory levels. Your responsibilities may also include duties aligned with shipping and/or receiving, and you will assume other duties as assigned. This position requires you to be responsible for the completion of daily team warehouse assignments, providing support and assistance to supervisors, coaching team members, and acting as a liaison between supervisors and staff for efficient information delivery. You will lead the work of others performing similar tasks, setting priorities, scheduling, and reviewing work, although you will not have the authority to hire, terminate, or make pay decisions. In the absence of the Warehouse Manager and General Manager, you will manage all warehouse personnel, ensuring that operations continue smoothly.
