About The Position

NC Custom, a division of Nassau Candy, is a dynamic and growing manufacturer providing the promotional industry with over 3,000 product lines, including confectionery, hard goods, health and beauty, premium apparel, and soft goods. With a strong reputation for quality and efficiency, we take pride in delivering exceptional products and service to our customers. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Picker to join our busy production site in Ronkonkoma, NY.

Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Forklift experience is required (Sit-Down and Cherry Picker).
Ideal candidates will have a stable job history, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Work from a daily picking report to fulfill orders accurately.
Use an RF Unit to scan task numbers; the unit will display the location and quantity of each required product.
Pick items, scan them using the RF Unit, and hand them off to the production team.
Stack merchandise safely, placing heavier/larger items on the bottom and lighter/smaller items on top.
Identify and report any out-of-stock items.
Notify the supervisor of any items found in the wrong location.
Handle all products with care and immediately report any damaged items to the supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by disposing of trash and label backings in designated receptacles.
Count and mark the number of pieces in each box clearly in the center of the label.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards. This role has the authority to halt production if food safety concerns arise and must report and support the investigation of any potential issues.
Forklift experience is required (Sit-Down and Cherry Picker).
