The Warehouse Person receives and warehouses product and materials delivered to the Commissary.

Requirements

• 1 year of forklift experience.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Forklift Certification

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming merchandise in efficient, timely and safe manner.
• Operates forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Stages all incoming merchandise in designated areas to ensure easy access by stockers.
• Maintains warehouse in clean, organized and orderly condition.
• Performs daily inspection of material handling equipment and maintains equipment in good working order.
• Locates and moves materials and product between work areas of the Commissary to expedite stocking of goods, according to predetermined schedules and priorities, and keeps related records.
• Use independent judgement within the framework of the government's contract requirements.
• Interacts cooperatively with Government Commissary personnel and customers.
• Immediately advises supervisor when Government staff directs changes in contract requirements.
