About The Position

The Warehouse Person position must support safe, efficient, and flexible facility operations by handling materials, operating equipment, and preparing products and finished goods in compliance with food safety, quality, and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills, including touch screens
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Effectively communicate questions, problems and reports to co-workers, supervisory and management personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general warehouse and production support duties across departments based on operational needs, staffing levels, and production schedules.
  • Operate industrial equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, pallet jacks, bag lines, tote fillers, cleaners, and milling or processing equipment as trained and assigned.
  • Receive, unload, and transfer inbound product, including unloading trucks, trailers, rail cars, and totes into cleaners, mills, silos, or designated storage locations.
  • Load outbound finished goods and bulk product into semi-trucks, rail cars, totes, or bins in accordance with shipping schedules and customer requirements.
  • Support silo operations including loading, unloading, monitoring product flow, and performing cleaning and housekeeping tasks in and around silos and related equipment.
  • Handle product stored in metal bins, including installing lids, wrapping, labeling, scanning, stacking, and staging product to ensure accurate inventory control and traceability.
  • Label bags, totes, and finished goods as required to meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal tracking standards.
  • Accurately store finished goods and raw materials in assigned warehouse locations and maintain proper inventory organization.
  • Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, dust control, and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment throughout the facility.
  • Provide operational support and coverage for milling, cleaning, packing, stacking, and utility functions during staffing shortages, peak periods, or as directed by supervision.
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting and promptly communicate equipment issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to management or maintenance personnel.
  • Follow all company safety policies, food safety standards, and quality procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.
  • Complete required production, quality, inventory documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in training and guiding new or temporary employees on safe work practices, warehouse procedures, and equipment operation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work in varying environments (warehouse, production floor, outdoor receiving areas) and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, stacking, and extended periods of standing or walking.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor, Warehouse Lead, or Plant Management to support overall facility operations.
