About The Position

The Warehouse Person at Publix Super Markets is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse according to sanitation standards. This role involves ensuring that products are accessible for safe selection and delivery to stores, as well as assisting with cleaning industrial equipment and sorting recycling materials. The position requires adherence to a Master Sanitation Schedule and documentation of completed tasks.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Successfully complete a Work Attitude Survey.
  • Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations by the start date.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and powered industrial equipment requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Lift, carry, and stack products weighing up to 67 pounds.
  • Stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive work for long periods.
  • Operate a pallet truck or forklift safely.
  • Successfully complete a Criminal Background Check (CBC) and drug test (applies to Pharmacy Warehouse only).
  • Not have a positive Publix drug test result within the previous 3 years (applies to Pharmacy Warehouse only).
  • Work under strict time requirements.
  • Read, write, and identify and verify numbers.
  • Interpret, understand, and follow instructions.

  • Experience in warehouse operations or logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the appearance of the building according to Distribution's Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure product accessibility for safe selection and delivery to stores.
  • Assist with cleaning industrial equipment, tractor trailers, and facility floors.
  • Sort recycling materials and help reduce shrink by collecting damaged cases.
  • Repackage and properly label cases of products.
  • Follow a Master Sanitation Schedule and document completed tasks.
