This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks, requiring strict attention to order accuracy. It involves loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks, working from an electronic order system or order sheets, and utilizing a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The role requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment and may involve working across a wide variety of weather conditions, with shift duration varying daily based on workload. Specific duties include transport truck loading (moving full pallets from warehouse to trailer, removing returns), bulk truck loading (selecting and loading designated products onto pallets, maintaining stability, shrink-wrapping, and loading onto trailers for local delivery), and route truck loading (selecting customized products/pallets for trucks and unloading returns). The position demands frequent lifting of 20-45 pound cases repeatedly during long work periods, and constant physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
