About The Position

Blossman Gas, America's largest independent propane company, seeks an eager Warehouse / Parts Selector / Shipping Specialist to help fulfill customer orders for our alternative fuel conversion systems at our support office in Swannanoa, NC just east of Asheville. This key position works regularly to assemble, package, and ship reliable conversion systems used to convert gasoline and diesel engines to clean-burning propane. Blossman Gas operates in more than 90 markets throughout the south and mid-Atlantic states while also being a lead partner in Alliance AutoGas, America's complete program to shift fleet vehicles to AutoGas--a cleaner, more affordable, American made alternative fuel. Key duties include: Assemble and package Alliance AutoGas systems and service part sales orders, M-F 8 am - 5 pm Verification and accuracy of shipping orders to customers in a high quantity environment Prepare freight shipments of Alliance AutoGas systems and storage tanks for efficient and timely transport Receive and inspect components received from vendors Maintain proper inventory and storage tanks while utilizing a forklift, ladders, and other warehouse equipment Accept and enter sales orders from Alliance AutoGas customers; remain organized with all paperwork and electronic submissions Help ensure that Alliance AutoGas customers receive a positive experience when interacting with the AutoGas warehouse Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Desire to learn components, assembly/production/shipping processes, and safety-related matters
  • Eagerness, able to work well within a team setting, and enjoy contributing to a product that makes a difference environmentally

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work experience in a warehouse or assembly environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills particularly with professional emails and MS Office.
  • Auto/mechanical experience or interests are helpful.

Responsibilities
