About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Pallet Inspector in North Little Rock, Arkansas. This position is part of a warehouse team that pays weekly, with an hourly pay of $20.00. The schedule is first shift, Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. The role involves working with pallets and operating a sit-down forklift in a safe supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years or more in Carpentry, Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend basic math.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work within a diverse work environment.
  • Highly thorough and dependable.
  • Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Be a team player.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • Operate power equipment in a safe manner.
  • Lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
  • Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.
  • Work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting.
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day).

Responsibilities

  • Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards.
  • Manually lift 70lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line; in addition, lift the pallets for inspection and separation utilizing the palamatic machine.
  • Ensure that proper inspection and separation is met.
  • Conduct physical inventories as required.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
  • Wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets.
  • Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
