About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Pallet Inspector at our Warehouse Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, Texas. Warehouse, Manufacturing and Repair positions pay Weekly. Hourly Pay is $18.00 per hour. The schedule is First Shift Monday-Thursday from 4:30 am to 3:00 pm. We want the right Manufacturing Employee to join us at Ryder and work with State of the Art Equipment in the Safest Warehouse Environment. Products Being Handled include Pallets, and the equipment used includes the Palamatic Machine and Rolling Line. Various construction, building, carpentry, manufacturing, warehouse, Skilled and Semi-Skilled Labor roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 to 2 years or more in Carpentry, Manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to comprehend basic math.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possesses a high degree of initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Be a team player.
• Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Operate power equipment in a safe manner.
• Lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
• Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.
• Work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting.
• Follow inspecting process.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day).

Responsibilities

• Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards.
• Manually lift 70lb pallets from a stack to a conveyor; in addition, lift the pallets for inspection and separation utilizing the Smetco machine.
• Ensure that proper inspection and separation is met.
• Conduct physical inventories as required.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
• Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
