About The Position

L&R is the largest distributor and the 6th largest purchaser of cosmetics in the United States. We now distribute over 40,000 items (cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA and more) through 3 regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, New Jersey, Nevada. We have openings across multiple departments. Job Summary: The Packing Associate is responsible for packing items into their correct containers to prepare them for shipment using various packing supplies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Safety
• Time management
• Willingness to learn computerized scanning device

Nice To Haves

• Forklift Operations Certification is preferred (or experience with other warehouse equipment)
• OSHA Certification is preferred (but not required)

Responsibilities

• Pack items following a specific set of instructions
• Check to ensure items are damage free
• Verify if items pulled out of package are correct
• Seal and label each container
• Move completed packages for shipping
• Review packing list for correct order and store number
• Recommends process changes to improve efficiency and eliminate errors
• Comply with all company safety rules
• Maintains excellent attendance
• Work as a team player
• Keep his/her area clean and safe
