Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to follow and understand written and oral instructions
  • This position requires the ability to concentrate and to communicate with management and co-workers
  • This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing fifty (50) pounds waist to waist
  • This position requires the ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds
  • This position requires the ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for long periods of time
  • This position requires the ability to frequently bend and twist the back
  • This position requires the ability to finely manipulate and grip objects
  • This position requires the ability to squat and reach

Responsibilities

  • Packaging parts:
  • Sets up scale machine for proper weight of box being packaged
  • Scales machine counts parts by weight
  • Selects appropriate size box, folds box and places box on scale machine
  • Fills box with parts until proper weight is indicated and affixes labels to boxes
  • Packs boxes into shelf boxes
  • Physically measures all merchandise for quality and correct identification before it is packaged
  • Uses the proper size box when packaging various products
  • Visually inspects all merchandise for quality and checks for any defects or bad plating.
  • Accurately packages merchandise while maintaining a high production level.
  • Documents quality standards including product accuracy, labeling quality, and country of origin accuracy.
