About The Position

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a 1st Shift Packer in our Packing Department for our Arlington TX, location. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated, and customer focused individual. Our Packer will be responsible for verifying and packing items received, performing inventory counts, and various other duties assigned by the manager. Our sales revenue growth is dynamic, increasing from $1 million in 1983 to more than $500 million today. Throughout all our growth we have kept the family owned and operated culture alive. Requirements

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
  • This position requires the ability to respond quickly to problems.
  • This position requires the ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers.
  • This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to follow and understand written and oral instructions.
  • This position requires some computer literacy.
  • This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing sixty (60) pounds floor to waist, waist to shoulder and shoulder to overhead.
  • This position requires the ability to frequently walk and stand on concrete floors.
  • This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time working on a computer.
  • This position requires the ability to do occasional neck flexions, extensions and twisting while sitting, standing or squatting.
  • This position requires the ability to frequently bend and twist the back.
  • This position requires the ability to finely manipulate and grip objects.
  • This position requires the ability to climb, squat and reach overhead to gain access to higher and lower shelves.
