About The Position
The Order Selector is responsible for picking and staging orders for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
Requirements
- MUST have at least one year of order picking experience
- Forklift certified
- RF Scanner experience is preferable, but not required
- Ability to understand and execute instructions
- Must be able to work as a team with co-workers and other departments
- Ability to identify product by size, type, or product code.
- Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked
- Possess basic math and reasoning skills
- Must possess certification of power-truck equipment (forklift, reach truck)
- Ability to move/lift up to 85 lbs.
- Ability to withstand cool/cold temperatures in a typical food warehouse environment
- Position spends 6 – 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Nice To Haves
- RF Scanner experience is preferable, but not required
Responsibilities
- Process orders for shipping - pull items, palletize, wrap and stage for shipment
- Maintain an organized dock area to ensure proper loading and safety
- Maintain quality in the warehouse and immediately report damaged product or equipment to the Warehouse Manager
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards
- Maintain safe and clean work environment during and after the shift by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintain clean shipping supply area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
