About The Position

Organically Grown Company (OGC), Northwest’s largest independent distributor of fresh, organic produce, is hiring Experienced PM Warehouse Order Selectors. If you have experience operating a riding pallet jack and working in a warehouse environment, we want to meet you! Why work for OGC? Warehousers play an important role in the produce trade, getting fresh fruits and vegetables into the hands of grocers and restaurants. Here, you’ll work closely with a great Warehouse crew and our Drivers using pallet jacks, forklifts, and Vocollect Headsets to retrieve boxes and load outbound trucks during the evening and overnight hours so that our customers have fresh produce the next day. Requirements

  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an order-selector/ warehouser picker in a produce or related environment.
  • Minimum 1 year experience using riding pallet jacks and able to demonstrate safe & proficient riding technique.
  • Minimum 1 year experience using Vocollect headsets or RF scan-guns.
  • Able to safely lift 30-50 pounds in a refrigerated environment.
  • Ability to work on a team and foster a culture of belonging.
  • Ability to learn new computer software.
  • Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience with perishable products, familiarity with food safety standards.
  • Love or knowledge about organic produce.
  • Computer savvy.

Responsibilities

  • Pick orders from the warehouse, build pallets, prepare products for delivery, and load onto our trucks.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain GMP and GFSI (food safety) standards.
  • Spend a lot of time on your feet in a refrigerated setting.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
