About The Position

As a core member of our distribution team, you will be expected to work as a team in a fast paced environment to meet departmental minimum requirements for units per hour and accuracy, and work in our frozen warehouse picking orders. Requirements

Capable of working as a team in a fast paced environment to meet departmental minimum requirements for units per hour and accuracy
Tolerance for working in a frozen, -20oF environment
Commitment to living Perry’s “values”
Willing to learn and adhere to Department specific Safe Quality Food requirements and Safety Guidelines
Flexibility to work daily overtime as needed
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly
Ability to work in an extreme cold environment reaching temperatures below -20oF
Capable of pushing/pulling up to 2000 lbs. for an extended amount of time (on carts, dollies, pallets) within temperatures of -20oF
Must be able to stand and walk for upwards of 12 miles per shift while maintaining footing on icy/slippery floors
Ability to use proper lifting/bending techniques from ground level to over the head at times
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Successfully complete OSHA certification for powered industrial vehicles

Responsibilities

Work in an extreme cold environment reaching temperatures below -20oF
Push/pull up to 2000 lbs. for an extended amount of time (on carts, dollies, pallets) within temperatures of -20oF
Stand and walk for upwards of 12 miles per shift while maintaining footing on icy/slippery floors
Use proper lifting/bending techniques from ground level to over the head at times
Perform basic math calculations

All other duties as assigned by supervisor
