About The Position

Wurth Louis and Company is seeking a Warehouse Associate to assist in receiving and inspecting incoming items/products. The role involves ensuring proper placement of products in the warehouse according to established guidelines and/or instructions from the Supervisor. Responsibilities include pulling inventory from stock, inspecting and packing products for delivery, verifying inventories, maintaining organization of products in the rack, and performing other miscellaneous stocking duties as requested. The Warehouse Associate will also check orders for accurate and proper documentation, assist in completing basic paperwork related to shipping and receiving tasks, and perform janitorial duties to keep the warehouse and work area clean. Additionally, the role requires operating a motorized cart/forklift and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write in English and understand numerical and alphabetical sequences.
  • Ability to complete forms and order parts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and spend significant periods of time each day in physical labor.
  • Must be certified as a forklift operator within 60 calendar days of start date.
  • Good skills in the use of tools required to perform assigned job responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum six months related warehouse experience.
  • Experience in operating a stock picker and/or forklift.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the distribution industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming items/products.
  • Ensure proper placement of products in the warehouse according to established guidelines and/or instructions from Supervisor.
  • Pull inventory from stock, inspect and pack products for delivery.
  • Verify inventories and maintain organization of products in the rack.
  • Perform miscellaneous stocking duties as requested.
  • Check orders for accurate and proper documentation.
  • Assist in completing basic paperwork related to shipping and receiving tasks.
  • Prepare necessary documentation regarding weight and freight cost on the order.
  • Properly label and document any hazardous material packages.
  • Perform janitorial duties as assigned to keep warehouse and work area clean.
  • Operate motorized cart/forklift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
