About The Position

At American Furniture Warehouse, we're looking for Team Members who want to be part of achieving our mission to provide our customers with the highest quality furniture at the best price. The Order Puller Associate will stock incoming merchandise and fill orders for customers. At AFW, we are proud that customers can pick up their furniture and take it home the same day. You will be a critical part of fulfilling that promise to the customer. The Order Puller will safely operate a Stock Picker, Reach Truck, Sit Down Forklift, and any other equipment necessary to transport merchandise for customers and other departments. We provide full training and certifications for all equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker helpful but not required.
• Commitment to safety.
• Knowledge of the correct lifting/team lifting techniques.
• Capability to perform the correct lifting/team lifting techniques.
• Ability to work at heights, filling orders 0 to 35 feet above the ground.
• Ability to work in multiple departments.
• Ability to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Stock incoming merchandise and fill orders for customers.
• Safely operate a Stock Picker, Reach Truck, Sit Down Forklift, and other necessary equipment.
• Be an ambassador for safety in the workplace.
• Read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Operate material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse.
• Operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner.
• Correctly use a hand truck.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates.
