About The Position

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment at food grade production facility by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Responsibilities

  • Liquid ingredients (Receiving)
  • Verify paperwork is correct
  • Verify seal and open tanker
  • Perform quality tests prior to unloading as required
  • Transfer to proper storage tank and label for production use
  • Complete the appropriate ERP system transactions (D365)
  • CIP all lines and silos
  • Dry ingredients (Receiving)
  • Compare COA against the in-house specification sheet
  • Contact QA for rejection if needed
  • Verify seal and open load
  • Receive product to warehouse
  • Label as needed
  • Make sure stock gets rotated FIFO or FEFO as appropriate
  • Miscellaneous supplies receiving
  • Notify proper department of receipt and deliver as needed
  • Shipping and interplant transfers
  • Stage all loads prior to shipment
  • Check pack size
  • Check for proper coding/labeling
  • Check customer specific coding, stack patterns, wrap requirements, etc.
  • Inspect and document trailer quality prior to loading
  • Request COA from QA
  • Load truck to meet customer expectations
  • Seal trailer when loaded
  • Completes the transaction in the ERP system (D365)
  • Handles and schedules all the UPS and FedEx small quantity shipments
  • Manages the warehouse and WOW transfers
  • Schedules the amount to be transferred to outside warehouse
  • Schedules the shuttle driver
  • Completes appropriate transactions in ERP system (D365)
  • Perform daily inspections on lift trucks and report any safety or maintenance issues to the maintenance department.
  • Comply with all safe forklift driving practices to prevent damage to equipment and injury to self or others.
  • Practice good housekeeping per GMPs, SOPs, etc.
  • Thoroughly complete and document all items pertaining to warehouse on the Master Sanitation Schedule on a timely basis.
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipping information on cartons.
  • Other duties as necessary.
