About The Position

Leeco Steel is a leading supplier of steel plate from the premier mills worldwide. Due to our continued growth we are seeking an additional Warehouse Operator and Part Cleaners for our Alvarado, TX location. Previous experience with kinetic, burning, cutting or cleaning parts would be ideal. Responsible for accurate machine operation and burning.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED preferred.
No prior experience or training.
Should posses the ability to read and comprehend, in English, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Verifies plate size, heat number, and grade of material prior to cutting.
Operates Burning Machine to produce flame-cut profiles meeting customer order requirements.
Cuts test piece to ensure size and dimensional tolerance.
Adjusts machine as necessary after test piece and signs work order to verify accuracy of set up.
Cuts balance of parts to fulfill order requirements.
Completes paperwork including drop sheet for remaining uncut plate after order is fulfilled
Returns paperwork for packing
Maintain equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendations
Maintain valid forklift certification
Maintain Safety, OSHA standards.
