Read more at www.dsv.com The Warehouse Clerk has the basic responsibility for label control, yard coordination, and administrativefunctions in support of the entire outbound (Shipping and Picking) operation. Warehouse Clerk is alsoresponsible for communicating issues to the outbound supervisors in a timely manner. Must have ExcelExperience and be computer literate. Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in inventory control or warehousing admin experience.
  • Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer andcolder months can range from mild to moderate.
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • RF Scanners
  • Proficient MS Office Applications
  • English (reading, writing, verbal)
  • Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other dutiesassociated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
  • Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job task in a timely manner.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced workenvironment.
  • Effective communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment
  • 1-2 years’ experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, distribute, and reprint all labels for carton/pallet pickers daily in a fair and consistentmanner.
  • Maintain a clear, consistent label flow to allow pickers the opportunity to perform in asafe, accurate, and productive manner without issue or hindrance.
  • Track and document all labelsgiven out.
  • Utilize Y/WMS system to communicate outbound pulls and plugs to yard drivers on a daily basis.
  • Assist supervisor to ensure trailer is properly chocked and green light is active before trailers aremoved or loading begins.
  • Complete computer data entry required for shipments.
  • Issue seals to loaders.
  • Verify accurate, pertinent information (i.e., seal number, trailer number, store number, etc.) in order to prepareBills of Lading (BOL’s) for all completed outbound loads.
  • Schedule LTL carriers for pickup (sitespecific).
  • Print work assignments for replenishment drivers.
  • Document and file all outboundrelated paperwork in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Multitask and work with a high sense of urgencyin the performance of all duties.
  • Assist outbound supervisors with compiling and trackingdowntime sheets as required.
  • Provide service and adhere to professional etiquette whencommunicating with members of management, peers, customers, and visitors.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Ensure all seals and sensitive documents are properly secured when not in use.
  • Distribute andcollect tools and equipment (i.e., RF guns, bolt cutters, etc.) to associates and report issues tooutbound supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Conduct operations in a manner, which promotessafety.
  • Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA and MSDS Standard
  • Safe use of powered equipment, RF scanners, computers, and printers.
  • Follow company policies, guidelines, and ISO procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
