About the Role The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations at Zekelman Industries by ensuring accurate order fulfillment, safe material handling, and efficient shipment processing. The role contributes directly to operational flow by preparing materials, handling inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and effective in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and productivity are essential.

Requirements

  • Brings a minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience; steel or tubing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates basic math proficiency for accurate order processing.
  • Communicates effectively to support collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Solves problems effectively in a warehouse environment.
  • Maintains strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and meet quality standards.
  • Performs regular standing, walking, lifting, bending, and material-handling tasks.
  • Operates warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works in conditions involving noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Champions safe work practices in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Prepares materials, products, and equipment for shipment and distribution.
  • Processes and fulfills orders for customers and internal teams.
  • Picks, packs, and stages orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
  • Loads shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
  • Receives, inspects, and processes incoming materials while reporting damages.
  • Replenishes warehouse stock and rotates inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
  • Operates forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
  • Standardizes and improves shipping and receiving procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Performs additional warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular, full-time onsite attendance.
