About The Position

As a W Warehouse Operator/Transfer Driver, you will help keep the flow of merchandise moving from FCI vendors to FCI customers. You will pack and unpack merchandise and perform clerical tasks. The Warehouse Operator also keeps records of incoming and outgoing merchandise. The operating hours for the 2nd shift are Monday to Friday from 12:00PM-8:30PM. Requirements

  • High school degree or GED.
  • Forklift and aerial lift certification AND valid driver's license.
  • Repetitive lifting of 50 to 80 pounds in the form of bags and six-gallon buckets.
  • Employee will be exposed to a wet environment when washing equipment. The clean and sanitized environment requires use special clothing and proactive gear.
  • Employee will handle hazardous cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to load noise levels in loading dock.
  • Hearing protection required.
  • The candidate must be able to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders for shipping and match quantities to paperwork.
  • Match lot numbers to paperwork and identify if product requires customer's item number.
  • Wrap and prepare orders in which product will arrive at customer's business in good condition and schedule carrier pickup.
  • Identify any damaged and/or mis-shipped product and follow defined procedures.
  • Stock product in proper location.
  • Order packaging supplies, skids, pallet pads, shrink wrap and protective corners.
  • Log in the correct lot number and quantities, both in and out of building.
  • Maintain water levels in the forklifts.
  • Cleaning the warehouse and removing the garbage from the warehouse.
