This position has a base compensation range of $15.00 to $20.00. The Warehouse Operator II – CL performs the physical movement of products and materials using various forklift and material handling equipment. This position is also reponsible for maintaining accuracy of shipping products and reporting any damages, producing labels and packing orders accurately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement
  • One to two years’ experience working in a warehouse shipping, receiving, inventory handling environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of various warehouse tools and equipment preferred
  • Basic proficiency in operating a warehouse hand-held device
  • Forklift certification and/or reach truck certification required; will operate electric pallet jack
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, basic inventory control, and domestic transportation documentation

  • Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents typically found in a warehouse environment

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, Word and Excel and proficiency with Email.
  • Willingness to work overtime hours and some weekends, evenings, and/or holidays
  • Stand, stoop, kneel, sit, crawl and walk for extended periods of time
  • Push and pull loaded carts, pallet jacks and strollers
  • Lift and carry cartons, materials and wooden pallets at a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Use arms, hands, fingers and body to transport cartons, materials and wooden pallets
  • Use of senses to include hearing, talking, touching, feeling and vision. Specific vision abilities required include seeing clearly in both near and far distances

Responsibilities

  • Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped
  • Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to designated areas
  • Stocking shelves accurate--items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Assisting in counting of physical inventory
  • Picks priority shipments first as communicated by the supervisor.
  • Boxes and packs orders with packing materials to insure safe delivery.
  • Pulls product for orders, verifying product numbers and quantity.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Performing tasks safely, accurately, and steadily within the allotted time frame
  • Striving for 100% internal and external customer satisfaction and continuous improvement
  • Maintains certification on use of forklift and other equipment, such as reach trucks
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
