The Warehouse Operator Level 1 is responsible for the transportation of materials between the warehouse and production areas. This includes both palletized and non-palletized components from the warehouse to the production areas, and palletized semi-finished and finished goods from the production areas to the warehouse. The operator is responsible for the routine replenishment of production parts and certain supplies to various production areas. The operator will often be able to anticipate these replenishments but is also required to respond to requests for these and other items via production order pick sheets. As business needs dictate, the operator can be utilized in other warehouse functions for which they have completed training. This can include but is not limited to the assistance in picking orders for production or packaging, or the wrapping of raw material, semi-finished or finished product on the wrapping machine. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager, and maintains contact with Warehouse Group Leader, other warehouse Operators, and personnel from various other departments during the regular course of duties.
