About The Position

The Warehouse Operator Level 1 is responsible for the transportation of materials between the warehouse and production areas. This includes both palletized and non-palletized components from the warehouse to the production areas, and palletized semi-finished and finished goods from the production areas to the warehouse. The operator is responsible for the routine replenishment of production parts and certain supplies to various production areas. The operator will often be able to anticipate these replenishments but is also required to respond to requests for these and other items via production order pick sheets. As business needs dictate, the operator can be utilized in other warehouse functions for which they have completed training. This can include but is not limited to the assistance in picking orders for production or packaging, or the wrapping of raw material, semi-finished or finished product on the wrapping machine. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager, and maintains contact with Warehouse Group Leader, other warehouse Operators, and personnel from various other departments during the regular course of duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations with the use of a calculator is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience with powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transports palletized semi-finished and finished product from production areas to the warehouse for storage.
  • Transports orders of components from the warehouse to production areas.
  • Participates in the continuous inventory cycle count program and year end physical inventory.
  • Completes all ERP and MES inventory transactions for material movements to and from production and within the warehouse via barcode scanner or computer.
  • Assists with material movements for palletized and carton components within the warehouse including put away.
  • Assists personnel from warehouse and other departments by transporting supplies and equipment to and from various locations within the facility.
  • Utilizes various forms of powered and manual equipment to assist in the storage and transportation of palletized material. Maintains said equipment according to the preventative maintenance program and reports issues/concerns immediately. Reports any and all damaged or otherwise inoperative equipment immediately for repair.
  • Participates in all company training and consistently completes all training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, both internally within the department as well as externally with other departments. All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.
