About The Position

The Warehouse Operator I position at Novo Nordisk involves performing various warehousing tasks within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role is essential for maintaining inventory control, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting the supply chain operations. The position operates on a Friday to Sunday schedule from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, contributing to the production of innovative diabetes and obesity treatments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience, preferably in a GMP warehouse or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Basic math skills, including knowledge of the metric system.
  • Computer competencies, including basic Microsoft knowledge (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with a computerized inventory system such as SAP preferred.
  • Ability to read, write legibly, and understand all department documentation required.
  • Training or experience in handling and storage of hazardous materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with stand-up and sit-down forklifts preferred.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to adapt to changes in the schedule.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of warehousing requirements for NNPII regarding the General Warehouse & Cold Storage.
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
  • Control inventory of newly received components/materials, including placing them in designated locations.
  • Manage material requisitions and replenish staging areas.
  • Conduct physical and system transfers of semi-finished and finished products.
  • Pull samples upon request and perform physical inventory, including cycle counts and annual inventory counts.
  • Look up and reorder inventory and plant supplies.
  • Prepare and ship finished products.
  • Load and unload trailers using appropriate equipment.
  • Utilize system knowledge in Prism/AS400/SAP for material transfers and inventory adjustments.
  • Conduct daily inspections of forklifts, warehouse, cold rooms, and freezers.
