About The Position

As a warehouse operator you will be responsible for two areas within the warehouse, Order Processing and Forklift Operation. Order Processing is responsible for the accurate selection of products to fill customer orders and deliver these products to the shipping dock in a manner that meets company standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The employee is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled and must be available to work scheduled hours to meet customer demands.

Requirements

  • Must have general computer knowledge (SAP experience a plus)
  • Must be able to work overtime (including weekends)
  • Preferred 1-2 years Distribution/Warehouse experience
  • Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 50lbs
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse/manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic scanning devices preferred

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of damage free products are palletized and prepared to ship.
  • Transport pallets to wrapping / shipping locations as necessary.
  • Ensure proper labeling is placed on all orders.
  • Perform sorting, wrapping, packing and other miscellaneous tasks as required.
  • Utilize RF scanners and the WMS.
  • On a daily basis, inspect all assigned equipment.
  • Train newly hired employees, both permanent and temporary, on tasks, duties, and responsibilities within case picking operations.
  • Conduct operations and model behavior that promotes a safe environment.
  • Check product for accuracy in inventory and damage, communicate any discrepancies immediately.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Load and unload product in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Make all necessary system transactions and track all paperwork as appropriate.
  • Transport product to storage areas using proper equipment and efficiently stack and store product.
  • Replenish product in a timely manner to maintain customer order flow.
  • Prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
