Warehouse Operations Specialist

The Warehouse Operations Specialist is responsible for managing warehouse activities, overseeing warehouse staff, and supporting product logistics and customer service. This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of warehouse work, driving, and direct customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day warehouse operations and supervise warehouse team
• Interact with customers and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
• Load, transport, and deliver agricultural products safely and efficiently
• Receive, organize, and track incoming and outgoing shipments
• Operate seed treatment and seed cleaning equipment and create sales orders and invoices for product transactions
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure a clean, organized warehouse
• Perform light vehicle and equipment maintenance
• Conduct building upkeep and general facility maintenance
• Operate agricultural equipment including forklifts, tractors, skid steers, and telehandlers

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License required
• CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Category 4 Commercial Pesticide Applicator License preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate agricultural equipment
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Proven experience in warehouse management, agricultural background, and CDL preferred with a clean record
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
• Familiarity with relevant software applications
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to warehouse operations

Nice-to-haves

• A background in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred
• Chemical and fertilizer, seed or grain experience and basic knowledge of the seed and chemical process
• Possess a team player outlook, and work with management to achieve key strategic, short and long-term goals
