About The Position

Headquartered in Suwanee, GA, Pearlman Group, is a multi-channel developer and distributor of specialty supplies, tools, and equipment used in the fabrication, maintenance, cleaning, and restoration of surfaces for residential, commercial, and industrial end-markets. The Company’s products include an extensive offering of proprietary, exclusive, and nationally branded products with over 18,000 SKUs across multiple price points and applications. The Warehouse Operations & Customer Service Associate supports both customer-facing service needs and day‑to‑day warehouse operations. This role provides guidance to contractors on material specifications, assists with order preparation, and helps maintain an organized warehouse environment. The position includes light warehouse duties such as picking orders, managing backstock, and assisting with onloading and offloading freight. Forklift experience is a plus, but full in‑house training is provided.

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with contractors.
  • Willingness to learn material specifications and product details.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort learning new systems.
  • Ability to perform warehouse tasks, including lifting within reasonable limits.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Sit‑down forklift experience (not required; training provided).
  • Experience with P21 or similar POS/ERP platforms.
  • Background in construction materials, distribution, or warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist contractors and customers at the counter with orders and product information.
  • Educate customers on material specifications, product usage, and proper selection.
  • Provide order updates, answer questions, and communicate professionally in person, by phone, and by email.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders (no heavy equipment required).
  • Organize and maintain backstock and warehouse inventory areas.
  • Support incoming and outgoing freight, including offloading and onloading materials.
  • Operate a sit‑down forklift (training and certification provided).
  • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and potential damage.
  • Assist with basic receiving documentation and inventory updating.
  • Participate in cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) for documentation, inventory tracking, and communication.
  • Utilize P21 POS system for order entry, product lookup, and invoicing (experience a plus but not required).
