About The Position

Rigid Tactical is seeking a highly disciplined, detail-oriented Warehouse & Materiel Management Lead to oversee the boots-on-the-ground execution of supply chain operations. You will be responsible for a team of warehouse professionals ensuring the integrity, accountability, and readiness of critical naval assets. What You’ll Do Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of 10+ warehouse employees. Full-Lifecycle Materiel Management: Oversee receipt, issue, physical inventory reconciliation, and Care of Supply in Storage (COSIS). Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations meet stringent DoD standards for highly regulated materials. Workflow Execution: Directly responsible for the execution of PWS/SOW tasks related to warehouse throughput and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Security Clearance.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in warehouse materiel management (Receipt, Issue, COSIS, Inventory).
  • Management: At least five (5) years of experience supervising a team of 10 or more personnel.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Military Background: Former Senior Enlisted Logistics Specialist (LSC/LSCS) or Junior Supply Officer.
  • Systems Expertise: Proficiency in Navy ERP (SAP).
  • Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with the handling and chain-of-custody requirements for SubSafe and Level 1 materials.
  • Local Experience: Previous familiarity with the NUWC Division Newport supply chain ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MHE equipment with capacities up to 36,000 lbs.
  • Maintain active OSHA certifications and licenses.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of all MHE.
  • Organize the warehouse according to the Locations Schema.
  • Optimize storage, maintain separation by Condition Codes, and ensure asset security.
  • Re-warehouse and rotate supplies, manage shelf life, maintain storage aids, and keep the warehouse clean using the Government Zamboni.
  • Perform Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS).
  • Relocate materials as directed by the Workload Management File (WMF).
  • Maintain accountability, conduct visual inspections of packaging, and execute Navy ERP transactions.
  • Issue and consolidate material according to Government-provided lists.
  • Monitor Type I and Type II shelf-life items using Navy ERP, tracking from cure date to expiration.
  • Process items for disposition per the WMF; no actual disposal is performed.
  • Generate ERP count sheets, conduct physical counts, and label OM&S-R and NWCF-SM items.
  • Complete 100% of inventory annually.
  • Pull material according to WMF, execute ERP issuing transactions, and stage materials for delivery.
  • Perform Preservation, Packaging, Packing, and Marking (excluding crating).
  • Handle classified and sensitive materials in secure areas and attach DD Form 1907 for classified items.
  • Load and deliver material within Naval Station Newport limits based on priority (Priority 01-03: 24 hours; Priority 04-15/None: 72 hours; WMF: per Required Delivery Date).
  • Obtain customer signatures and follow up daily on inbound Government contract acceptance.
  • Deliver professional customer service both in person and via phone, email, or fax.
  • Provide disposal and shipping instructions, access Navy ERP for material identification, and track items as needed.
  • Investigate inbound shipment status inquiries, locate materials, provide customer feedback, identify root causes of issues, and document lessons learned using Navy ERP, WebFLIS, and Haystack.
