About the position

The Warehouse Material Handler at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle TN is responsible for operating standard warehouse equipment to fulfill customer orders and manage inventory. This role involves physically handling food products, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment, and maintaining safety and productivity standards in a climate-controlled warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric pallet jack to select and stage customer orders accurately.
• Build mixed pallets of food through case picking.
• Perform order fulfillment duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
• Ensure all responsibilities are handled in accordance with company safety, security, and productivity standards.

Requirements

• 6 months of experience in order filling and material handling equipment.
• Certification in ride-on pallet jack and other warehouse functions preferred.
• Food industry experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
