About The Position

The Warehouse Manager at Ryder System is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations within the assigned warehouse function. This role involves managing staff performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team to achieve operational goals and implement process improvements, contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain solutions division.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management required.
• One year or more of direct supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) is required.
• Advanced knowledge of logistics industry and customer/company regulations required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Supply Chain Management components required.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with process implementation, review, and improvement preferred.
• Ability to work within international functional teams.
• High level analytical ability for unusual and difficult problems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the assigned warehouse function.
• Manage staffing performance and development of both exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Ensure customer service satisfaction and manage expectations.
• Plan and schedule daily operations effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and state/local/federal laws.
• Lead and support off-shift operations during critical disruptions.
