As the Warehouse Manager of Addison Fasteners' distribution center, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of all warehouse and distribution activities. You will lead a team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, optimize inventory management, and maintain a high level of operational excellence. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in warehouse management, logistics, and team development within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Oversee all daily operations of the distribution center, including receiving, warehousing, picking, packing, and shipping of finished goods.
  • Implement and maintain accurate inventory control systems and procedures. Oversee regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of goods. Collaborate with carriers and logistics providers to optimize shipping routes and costs.
  • Enforce all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse efficiency, order accuracy, and on-time delivery. Analyze performance data and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Develop and manage the distribution center's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, sales, customer service, and other departments to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues or challenges that arise in a timely and effective manner.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or distribution, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or fastener industry environment (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and improving warehouse processes and systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, best practices, and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and techniques.
  • Experience in coordinating inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to implement and enforce safety procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
