About The Position

The Warehouse Manager (Day Shift) is responsible for the overall supervision and effective operation of the shipping, receiving, and stock areas during daytime operations by performing the following duties. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and is not entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked beyond 40 in any given workweek. The Warehouse Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 5–8 years of prior warehouse or logistics experience

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assist, and coordinate activities of warehouse personnel involved in verifying and maintaining records for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Prepare items for shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory.
• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods to meet established schedules.
• Apply knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Oversee and perform incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments including lifting and carrying materials.
• Ensure records comply with established procedures and notify the purchasing department of low stock levels.
• Post weights and shipping charges and prepare accurate bills of lading.
• Maintain adequate inventory and order supplies to ensure timely customer order fulfillment.
• Report order discrepancies to the appropriate individuals.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
