Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities within the Operational Supplies warehouse. Oversees inbound, outbound, inventory and quality control functions as well as managing facility.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Management is preferred; or 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience rating and shipping LTL shipments preferred.
  • Knowledge of small parcel rating and additional handling charges preferred.
  • Experience with Amazon Seller central processes including Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) and Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) preferred.
  • Experience with order picking and shipment processing in a paperless picking environment preferred.
  • Experience with an ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Experience using and configuring a WMS system, Microsoft Advanced Warehouse Management preferred.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite primarily Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Experience in using Business Intelligence platform, Power query and Power Automate tools to advise and automate business processes preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem solving and analytical skills are essential.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with employees.
  • Problem-solve, organize and balance multiple priorities.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently lifts up to 30 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.   • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The ambient temperature can be cool in the winter and hot in the summer.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate labor among warehouse processes to meet daily outbound/inbound workload needs.
  • Ensure warehouse staff are cross trained to flex as needed to cover time off or shifts in volume without impact to customer satisfaction and work accuracy.
  • Review and adjust layout of storage areas and item slotting to optimize use of storage space and labor needs to put away and retrieve materials. Analyze sales and picking data to drive decisions in moving inventory.
  • Supervise and coordinate the staffing and operation of pouch converting machine. Partner with Manufacturing and Service teams as needed to preform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure uptime.
  • Manage Cycle Counting program to maintain inventory accuracy. Analyze discrepancies from completed counts and short pick activity to determine root cause and determine remedial actions needed to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all employees are properly trained to adhere to the company's safety policies and procedures. Is responsible to keep the work environment and all equipment safe and hazard free for employees and site visitors.
  • When necessary, perform the daily duties of warehouse associates and flex into the process as additional labor is required.
  • With support from warehouse leads and supervisors across buildings, generate standardized procedures and work instructions to drive efficiency and exception handling.
  • Monitor employee performance against labor standards and coach as needed to drive overall warehouse performance.
  • Act as primary point of escalation for quality issues and customer/vendor requests for the Operational Supplies warehouse.
  • Work with Director of Fulfillment and Logistics to implement and maintain performance metrics across all sites to drive company goals and strategy.
  • Directly supervises employees in the warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
