The Warehouse Manager leads daily warehouse and logistics operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient material flow and on-time shipping and receiving. This role supervises and develops a high-performing team, manages inventory and performance metrics, and partners with production and supply chain teams to keep operations running smoothly. Ideal candidates are hands-on leaders who thrive in dynamic settings, value safety and teamwork, and are driven to improve processes and results.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Business training beyond High School required
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in a Manufacturing environment required.
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Must be able to read and interpret work related documents.
  • Must have the ability to work in teams.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to frequent changes.
  • Willingness and desire to lead the logistics team in a positive environment while motivating towards constant improvement.
  • Knowledge of: All department processes, including the production entry process. Materials, machines, tools, and steps in logistics processes. Ability to fill in for team members and avoid disruption of the logistics operations. Ability to set priorities and handle requests regarding logistics team activities. Ability to work independently.  Ability to take initiative. Ability to quickly solve problems using facts and data. Ability to set priorities and handle special requests.

Responsibilities

  • Define, enforce, and follow all safety regulations, procedures, and processes.
  • Performs warehouse management by supervising Logistics personnel and establishing warehouse priorities with a primary objective of warehouse flow and continuity. 
  • Leads warehouse personnel by: Setting short-term and long-term direction and priorities to assure alignment with company and department objectives.  Effectively communicating and interacting with employees to convey these priorities. Aligning team members to accomplish daily work plan and work with the traffic team to develop and execute shipping schedules. Continuously using opportunities to teach and coach on the objective of high performing teams in an efficient organization.  Stimulating maximum efficiency of logistics employees. Develop and manage training process of new and current employees based on the need of the business. 
  • Manages warehouses by: Setting and monitoring department performance to KPIs. Establishing and maintaining warehouse procedures and work practices across all shifts, supporting a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment. Administering company policies.  Ensuring shipping and receiving functions meet or perform better than budget.  Developing and maintaining quality standards.  Developing and maintaining safety standards.  Monitoring labor costs. Ensuring appropriate and timely shift records are prepared and maintained. Auditing warehouses throughout the day for safety, housekeeping, 5S, cycle counts and quality issues. Working with the logistics team to manage workload between multiple locations.  Assisting Purchasing and Traffic team members on raw material deliveries. Advising Management of problems (or potential problems). 
  • Prepares or reviews request for orders, bids, stocking reports, contracts, and pre-quotation bid summaries for the department.
  • Manage and maintain bin/location information at all warehouses to insure most efficient overall warehouse operations.
  • Manage daily inventory levels and cycle count programs.
  • Supervises the maintenance of inventories of commonly used items to maximize warehouse storage and prevent stocking of seldom used merchandise.
  • Work with production to manage inventory levels of finished goods based on the safety levels.

  • Maintains department assets and manages the department budget.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule. 70% of worked hours will be in the warehouse.
