About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the operations, processes, resource allocation, compliance, people management, and parts management in the warehouse. Oversee receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Uses a warehouse management system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implement strong safety policies and procedures. Works with other departments such as procurement and safety to ensure proper inventory levels and to maintain and monitor ongoing safety compliance requirements.

  • 8+ plus years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Experience in inventory management, shipping and receiving, and order fulfillment
  • Training in safety management, inventory control, supply chain optimization, or warehouse management systems
  • Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and multi-line phone systems
  • A desire to continually increase one’s knowledge of the industries we serve; and, the products, services and processes our company can produce
  • A self-motivated and disciplined individual who will work well independently and as a team member.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing, as well as excellent interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow in receiving, stowing, picking, packing, and shipping processes
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels by implementing effective stock control processes, conducting regular audits, and utilizing a warehouse management system for tracking and reporting
  • Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, providing ongoing development opportunities and performance evaluations to promote a high-performing team
  • Implement and enforce comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and minimize workplace hazards
  • Design efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize storage capacity and enhance operational efficiency, adapting as necessary based on inventory types and volumes
  • Analyze warehouse processes and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, and safety teams to coordinate inventory levels, manage supply chain processes, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all warehouse processes, including receipts, shipments, inventory counts, and compliance records for audits and performance reviews
  • Assist in the development and management of the warehouse budget, controlling operational costs while maintaining efficient services
  • Monitor the security of the warehouse and its contents, ensuring that all goods and materials are safeguarded against theft, damage, and loss
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues related to order fulfillment and shipping, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Oversee maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyor belts, etc.), ensuring they are in safe working order and that team members are properly trained in their use
