Requirements

  • Will serve as Powered Industrial truck (PIT) Trainer for bakery facility
  • Will have a strong understanding of Lean Methodology
  • Will have an exceptional understanding of FSQA requitements for the facility
  • Will exhibit computational acumen, including but not limited to proficiency in the below:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Warehouse Management System
  • Will set clear expectations for sectors of the Warehouse Department including shipping, receiving, and transportation.
  • Will embody sound critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in Warehouse Management or Logistics Management

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain and operations management, or related business field.
  • Six Sigma Green belt and or Black Belt certification
  • FSMA Certifications (i.e. HACCP, PCQI)

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the Facility’s Warehouse Department including shipping, receiving, and transportation sectors, including team members within the department.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Purchasing
  • Drive performance-based culture that embraces improvements in technology and processes within the department.

  • Understanding the managerial role in driving internal and external locus of control
  • Must be engaged in and monitor all material requisitioning processes.
  • Take ownership of the accuracy and integrity of inventory counts within the bakery facility.
  • Confirm accurate product reconciliation, materials, and tray counts throughout the facility.
  • Support Just-In-Time (JIT) programs
  • Ensure proper material flow utilizing FIFO methodology.
  • Must have previous experience that validates being a subject matter expert on enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Oversee the scheduling and delivery of products to customers
  • Oversee the timely process of paperwork to the finance team
  • Ability to maintain and organize paperwork for auditing purposes
  • Must ensure Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) as well as Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance for all inbound and outbound facility operations.
  • Set and maintain clean, clear, and organized spaces throughout the warehousing areas
  • Build and develop a high-performing team in all sectors including shipping, receiving, and transport
